If you’ve tasted success and you know you’re onto something good you might start to wonder how you can optimize this shebang to grow it to the level of financial success you are dreaming of.
It starts with a plan. When it comes to scaling, there are a lot of moving parts like Landing Pages, Opt-in incentives, Email marketing, Sales Pages (and/or shop!), Checkout Pages, Advertising, Webinars, Outsourcing, and the list can go on and on.
Don’t get overwhelmed here. Rome wasn’t built in a day. In fact, I think the BEST place to start before you start diving into all these scaling steps is to go back to the data. The LAST thing you want to do is throw money and more time into something that has weak spots.
Numbers can seem scary, I know, but they don’t lie. They give you powerful insight on where to drill in so you know where to focus your scaling efforts moving forward.
Evaluate Where You Are
Before I make plans for a new year or a new season in business, I like to pause and look back at what happened during the current season I’m in. Often times, we get so excited for something new or bogged down in the tiniest of details, that we can’t see the big picture of where we are and how we got here.
There will be wins. There will be losses. Those high highs and low lows are easier to remember, but when you take a minute to press pause before planning, you just might uncover some of the underlying pain points that you overlooked. You just might realize that some things you were about to put on the high priority list next year aren’t really that important.
If you’re newer in business or don’t have a system in place to track your results, you may not have the data for some of these questions, but don’t stress. You’ll have to make some educated guesses in your business plan, but the good news is you’ll have this guide to come back to so you can analyze the numbers to make smart shifts!
If you’ve been in the game for a while, I want to challenge you to actually look at your data. Open up your financial reports and analytics. The numbers may surprise you! And they just might change your mind on what you think is important in your business.
No matter what level of business you are in, as you evaluate the current season you’re in and then look to planning for the season ahead, give yourself the grace to make goals that are attainable with the time and resources you actually have to grow your business.
